Tribunes defeat regional foe Mercyhurst

NORTH EAST, PA - The MCC men's soccer team earned a key Region III victory, defeating Mercyhurst North East 3-0 Saturday afternoon.

The Tribunes moved to 7-2-1 after playing their first game in a week.  Monroe is now 1-0 in regional play with a battle with Bryant & Stratton looming in Syracuse on Wednesday. 

The winner will host the Region III championship.

Adriano Negri (Vancouver, BC/Templeton) scored two goals to lead the Tribunes against Mercyhurst.  Travis DeLyser (Marion, NY/Marion) also scored for Monroe, which has outscored its last four opponents by a combined 13-0.
