Olivares leads Monroe

ROCHESTER - Julio Olivares (Brentwood, NY/Brentwood) recorded a hat trick to power the MCC men's soccer team to a 4-0 win over Erie Community College Wednesday afternoon.

The Tribunes move to 3-1-1 with the victory.

Olivares broke a scoreless tie with his first goal in the 15th minute off a feed from Steven Mounnarat (Penfield, NY/Penfield).  He then added another score later in the half.  Cody Winter (North Rose, NY/North Rose-Wolcott) assisted on the play.

Olivares finished the hat trick in the 50th minute on a pass from Adriano Negri (Vancouver, BC/Templeton).

Negri finished the scoring with a goal in the 66th minute, with the assist going to Abe Barry (Henrietta, NY/Greece Olympia).

Eddie Bower (Holley, NY/Holley) made a pair of saves for the shutout.
