MCC perfect at Adirondack

QUEENSBURY, NY - The MCC volleyball team swept all nine games en route to a perfect 3-0 day at the Adirondack CC Pod Tournament Saturday.

The Tribunes improve to 7-2 on the season.

Monroe defeated Fulton-Montgomery CC 25-11, 25-13, 25-15, and Hudson Valley CC 25-9, 25-15, 25-9.  MCC then knocked off Adirondack 25-14, 25-20, 25-17.

Paige Calabrese (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) continued her strong play with 27 digs on the day and helped control the action from her libero position.  Erica Thompson (Liverpool, NY/Cicero-No. Syracuse) chipped in with 21 kills and nine blocks.

Virginia Combs (Penfield, NY/Mercy) averaged over eight assists per game, and Kelsi Blum (Livonia, NY/Livonia) finished with 26 kills and 15 digs.
