MCC winning streak stopped by Mercyhurst

NORTH EAST, Penn. - Mercyhurst North East halted MCC's 14-game winning streak, defeating the Tribunes 57-53 in women's basketball Tuesday evening.

Monroe is now 19-4 on the season.  MCC hadn't lost since early in November.

Mercyhurst trailed by one with under two minutes to play before tying it up on a technical free throw.  Sharika McGill then connected on a layup and the Saints added a pair of free throws late to seal it.

Ayana Bradley (Syracuse, NY/Corcoran) posted her fifth double-double in the past six games with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Ashley Castle (Brooklyn, NY/Medgar Evers) was the only other player in double figures with 10.
