I've been out of school for 20 years. Where do I start?
Many MCC students have returned to the classroom after "stopping out" of school for several years or more. Returning adult students are encouraged to attend one of several MCC Adult Information Nights sponsored by the Counseling and Advising Center. In addition, an individual appointment can be scheduled with a counselor to discuss returning to the educational environment. Contact the Counseling and Advising Center at 292-2030 for the dates and times of Information Nights or to schedule an appointment.
I want to transfer to another school. Who should I talk to?

When can I come in to take Accuplacer?
The Admissions Office will send each new student a flyer listing dates and times for walk-in Accuplacer testing, or you can call 292-2290 for a recorded message with current test dates and times for the Brighton campus testing center. Accuplacer placement testing is also available at the Damon City Campus -- call 272-1682 for dates, times, and other information.
Students who need to take an ESOL test should contact the English for Speakers of Other Languages department office at 292-3330 to schedule an appointment for testing.
I need to talk to a counselor about coming to MCC.
Prospective students may contact the Admissions Office. Admissions counseling is also available through the Counseling and Advising Center's Evening Advisement Program.
How can I get in touch with my professor?
Most faculty members list their telephone numbers and office hours on their course syllabus. You can also look up the professor's office phone number in the MCC Faculty and Staff Directory.
