Process overview

Applying for financial aid at MCC can be summarized by these steps:

• Apply for a Federal PIN
• Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• Complete the New York State TAP Application
• Review your Student Aid Report (SAR) once you receive it-make any necessary corrections
• Respond to any requests for additional information emailed to you by the MCC Financial Aid Office
• File a separate application for the MCC Scholarship Program

Check your financial aid status

To check the status of your account and to make sure that any aid you are eligible for has been applied to your account, use one of the following options:

• Go to the MCC financial aid website
• Call the Brighton Campus at (585) 292-2050 (press option # 1)
• Call the Damon City Campus at (585) 262-1670 (press option # 1)
• E-mail the MCC Financial Aid Office
